ANGULAR DISTRIBUTION OF IONIC FRAGMENTS IN THE DISSOCIATION OF SO_2_^2+^ Ataru Kobayashi, Yasuyuki Konishi, and Tochio Masuoka Osaka City University, Osaka, Japan Photoion-photon coincidence (PIPICO) technique has been used to measure the angular distribution of O^+^ + SO^+^ and O^+^ + S^+^ fragments in the dissociative double photoionization of SO_2_ in the 37-120eV region with linearly polarized synchrotron radiation. The obtained asymmetry parameter β shows a small deviation from zero in the whole energy range, indicating t hat isotropic fragmentation takes place in either cases of O^+^ + SO^+^ or O^+^ + S^+^.
