CLOSE-COUPLING APPROACH TO ELECTRON-IMPACT IONIZATION Igor Bray The Flinders University of South Australia, G.P.O. Box 2100, Adelaide 5001, Australia A study of e-H ionization is presented at energies ranging from 15.6 to 250 eV. Total through to fully differential cross sections are calculated using the Convergent Close-Coupling (CCC) method and are compared with experiment. We demonstrate that the recent criticism of our work by Bencze and Chandler is completely unwarranted.
