ELECTRON IMPACT CROSS SECTIONS FOR Kr S. Tsurubuchi, F. Hara , and M. Hyodoh Department of Applied Physics, Faculty of Technology, Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology, Koganei-shi, Tokyo 184-8588, Japan Electron-impact emission cross sections were measured for the 5p→5s transit ions and for the 5s→4p resonance lines of krypton atom in the energy range from threshold to 1000 eV. The direct excitation cross sections for the 1s2 and 1s4 states were determined in a wide range of impact energies by subtracting the cascade cross sections to the 5s states from the corresponding emission cross sections for the resonance lines.
