A compact EBIT using a pair of NdFeB ring permanent magnets is designed and
constructed. This EBIT equips two windows for light observation. The
electron gun is designed to realize 10 keV and 30 mA. Power consumption at
electron collector can be reduced under 10 Watt by controlling voltage
difference between cathode and collector. Electron beam passed through the
drift tubes are collected over 95%. Ar^{16+}, Ne^{8+}, Kr^{25+}, O^{6+},
N^{6+} and C^{5+} are extracted.
