SSHACHI, A NEW CONCEPT IN DEVICES FOR LOW ENERGY ELECTRON SPECTROSCOPY F J Currell, O Furuhashi, K Kawamura and S Ohtani. Institute for Laser Science, University of Electro-Communications, Chofu, Tokyo, Japan. Although they have many advantages for studying low energy electron-molecule interactions, trochoidal spectrometers suffer from poor resolution. We have designed and are constructing a new spectrometer, which aims to overcome this limitation by using a modified trochoidal analyser with superior electron-optical properties.
