CALCULATIONS OF PHOTOIONIZATION OF N2 MOLECULES IN THE RPA APPROXIMATION S.K.Semenov*, N.A.Cherepkov*, G.H.Fecher# and G.Schonhense# *State University of Aerospace Instrumentation, 190000 St.Petersburg, Russia #Johannes-Gutenberg Universitat, Institut fur Physik, 55099 Mainz, Germany Partial photoionization cross sections of four outer shells of N2 molecule are calculated in the random phase approximation in the energy range from the first ionization threshold up to 70 eV. The zero order orthonormal basis set of the Hartree-Fock wave functions is calculated in prolate spheroidal coordinates. The results are in a good agreement with the existing experimental data.
