LOW-ENERGY ELECTRON SPECTROSCOPY OF CONDENSED MAGNESIUM ATOMS

Using the electron backscattering spectrometer the elastic
and inelastic scattering of slow (0-5 eV) monoenergetic (W=20 meV)
electrons by the condensed magnesium atoms deposited onto the
various substrates has been studied. A distinct oscillation
structure due to the electron diffraction has been observed.
