Excited triplet states of H2: theoretical quantum-defect-theory calculations of photo-ionization and photo-dissociation spectra

A unified quantum defect theory treatment accounting for simultaneous molecular ionization and dissociation is applied on H2 to investigate excited triplet states of gerade symmetry. The positions and widths of the calculated predissociating and autoionizing resonances are in good agreement with experimental results.
