PHOTOIONIZATION OF ATOMS IN PARALLEL ELECTRIC AND MAGNETIC FIELDS

A new method is proposed to investigate the photoionization of atoms in
parallel electric and magnetic fields. A combination of the complex
coordinate method, a discrete variable representation (DVR) and a variant
of the Lanczos iterative procedure is used to obtain the complete
photoabsorption spectrum in a single calculation.
