RESONANCES IN ELECTRON-ATOM IONIZATION (e,2e) PROCESSES IN THE REGION OF OVERLAPPING AUTOIONIZING STATES M. Tabanli, J. L. Peacher, and D. H. Madison University of Missouri - Rolla, Rolla, Missouri, USA There can be a resonance in the ionization cross section if the ionized electron has an energy close to the energy of an electron ejected from an autoionizing state of the atom. We have developed a method to calculate the resonances when there are multiple overlapping autoionizing states. Results will be presented for electron-cadmium impact at 150 eV.
