TITLE:  A treatment of the t$\mu$ + D$_2$ reaction by the methods of
         quantum reactive scattering

 SUMMARY:
 
 We have applied the methods of quantum reactive scattering to the key
 resonant reaction in the muon catalysed fusion cycle that leads to the
 formation of a dt$\mu$ muonic molecular ion, in which fusion takes place
 very rapidly.  We will present and analyze the resonances which occur in
 this reaction for total angular momentum $J_{tot}=0$.
