The average charge states of atoms in hydrogen were measured in the
experiments with the Dubna gas-filled recoil separator aimed at the
synthesis of heaviest nuclei. To set the magnetic field of the dipole magnet
for collecting reaction products on the focal plane, the systematics of
atomic charge states was obtained. Measurements of atomic charge states,
analysis of results and calculation of separator's parameters for all
reactions were carried out by principal author.
