PAIR PRODUCTION WITH CAPTURE, AN IMPROVED THEORETICAL DESCRIPTION USING

Experimental cross sections for e+/e- pair production in the collision of
fully stripped La ions with thin foils of copper, silver or gold have been
published by Belkacem et al. The results of theoretical calculations using
the Relativistic Continuum-Distorted-Wave Eikonal-Initial-State (RCDW-EIS)
model are compared with experiment and previously published theoretical
data.
