Collisional deexcitation cross sections of Ne(1P) by H2, D2, N2, O2, CO2, CH4, 
CO, NO and CF4 and Ar(1P1) by c-C3H6 have been measured and compared with 
those calculated by Watanabe-Katsuura theory.
