ANALYTICAL CALCULATION OF COLD ATOM SCATTERING

We show that, in a wide range of collision momenta atom-atom scattering
properties are basically determined by the two large parameters. The first
one depends on the long-range behaviour of the interaction between the
atoms and the reduced mass, and the second is the semiclassical phase at
zero-energy. A simple formulae for the effective range is obtained.
