ELASTIC ELECTRON SCATTERING BY SMALL HYDROFLUORCARBON MOLECULES IN THE INTERMEDIATE ENERGY RANGE M. G. P. Homem# and I. Iga* #Departamento de Fisica, UFSCar, 13565-905, Sao Carlos, Sao Paulo, Brazil *Departamento de Quimica, UFSCar, 13565-905, Sao Carlos, Sao Paulo, Brazil In this work, we report an experimental investigation on elastic electron- hydrofluorcarbon molecule collisions in the intermediate energy range. More especifically, measured elastic differential, integral and momentum transfer cross sections for electron scattering by CHF3 and CF4 in the 100 to 500 eV energy range are reported. Relative flow technique is used for these measurements while N2 is used as the secondary standard. The comparison between our experimental results and available data in the literature is encouraging.
