We have measured the charge transfer cross sections of the ground state
He+ions in collisions with H2, N2, CO, CO2, CH4, C2H6 and C3H8 in the
energy range between 0.2 and 4 keV. Because all the present collisions
for the ground state - ground state transition are exoergic and have
large energy defects, the charge transfer accompanying dissociation of
target molecules is expected to be dominant at low energies.
