Electric-field-induced predissociation of the nf (n=7-9) Rydberg states of NO has been observed in
the two-color resonant four-wave mixing (TC-FWM) spectra. No electric-field effect has been
observed for the 6f states, which suggests the interacting dissociative state to be the I(2S+) state
converging to the N(2D)+O(3P) dissociation limit.
