title THREEBODY BREAKUP OF LASER-EXCITED TRIATOMIC HYDROGEN MOLECULES authors U. M\"uller, M. Beckert, M. Braun, and H. Helm affiliation Fakult\"at f\"ur Physik, Universit\"at Freiburg, Hermann-Herder-Str. 3, D-79104 Freiburg summary We investigate the laser-photofragmentation of H3 molecules in a fast-beam experiment. Neutral fragments are detected in coincidence by a time- and position-sensitive multihit-detector. The decay into H+H2 is analyzed and the results are compared to quantum molecular dynamics calculation. Triple coincidences from breakup into three H(1s) fragments have been detected for the first time. We find strong correlations in the six-fold differential cross section of the fragment momentum vectors.
