Title: VALIDITY OF $n^{-3}$ SCALING LAW IN DIELECTRONIC RECOMBINATION PROCESSES Authors: J.G. Wang, T. Kato, and I. Murakami Affiliations: National Institute for Fusion Science 322-6 Oroshi-cho, Toki-shi 509-5292, Japan Summary: A Simplified Relativistic Configuration Interaction (SRCI) method is developed to study the Dielectronic Recombination (DR) processes. This provides an efficient method to check the validity of extrapolation based on $n^{-3}$ scaling law. As an example, we studied the DR processes for Li-like argon, and the results are compared with recent experimental measurements at the ion storage ring CRYRING.
