Microscopic calculation of collision between a highly charged ion and a
rare-gas atom is presented in the time-dependent local density approxi-
mation. A uniform 3D grid representation of wave functions and the ab-
initio Hamiltonian are employed. The calculated charge transfer cross
sections are in fair agreement with measurements and other models.
