ENERGY LOSS AND MULTI-IONISATION IN ION-CLUSTER COLLISIONS

We report on recent experiments where we have studied the multi-ionisation
of sodium clusters by ions in low charge states. The relation between the
degree of ionisation and the energy loss of the projectile due to the
stopping power of sodium bulk material will be discussed.
