GENERATION OF CIRCULARLY POLARIZED MULTIPLE HIGH-ORDER HARMONIC EMISSION FROM TWO-COLOR CROSSED LASER BEAMS Xiao-Min Tong and Shih-I Chu* Department of Chemistry, University of Kansas, and Kansas Center for Advanced Scientific Computing, Lawrence, Kansas, 66045 USA We present a scheme for the production of circularly polarized (CP) high-order harmonic generation (HHG). The proposed experimental setup involves the use of two-color laser fields, consisting of a CP fundamental laser field and a linealy polarized 2nd-harmonic laser field, in crossed beam configuration. The feasibility of such a scheme is demonstrated by an ab initio study of the HHG power spectrum of He atoms by means of a self-interaction-free time-dependent density functional theory recently developed. * E-mail address: sichu@kuhub.cc.ukans.edu
