Title
:Direct probing attosecond dynamics of two-electron wave packet
Abstract :
Real-time monitoring ultrafast electron dynamics in atomic and
molecular systems can be carried out by a pump-probe set up in which
the electronic wave packets are triggered by a pump pulse and
subsequently probed by another pulse. Compared to bound states, a
wave packet consisting of multiply-excited states is of more
interest since the latters display much richer dynamics due to
strong electron correlation. Recent study [PRL 105, 053002
(2010)] shows that the coherent superposition of
doubly-excited states created by the XUV pulse ejects electrons in
bursts rather than continuously. Moreover, XUV pump IR-probe
simulation demonstrates that it is possible to exploit this dynamics
to effectively control the branching ratios of the different
ionization channels. In this talk, we will introduce those
interesting observations. Relevant aspects in our ongoing study are
also presented.
